About Meridian

Built by people who got tired of working around clinical software.

Meridian began in 2023, in a hospital corridor. Daniel Reyes was directing clinical informatics for a regional health network, and Dr. Priya Raman was seeing patients on the same wards. They kept noticing the same scene: a physician standing at a workstation, moving between four screens to assemble what should have been a single page of information, with the patient's own account waiting just down the hall.

Most clinical software adds to what a person has to hold in mind. They wanted to build the reverse, tools that quietly take on the assembly so that a clinician arrives at the bedside already knowing the outline of the case. With Marcus Lindqvist leading the engineering, the three of them started with a single medical ward and a very plain question: what would you like to have read before you walk in?

Three years on, Meridian is used across eleven health systems, and the question still guides the roadmap.

How we work

Inside the workflow you already have

Approach

We come to your workflow

Teams should not have to learn a new way of working to benefit from better information. Meridian is delivered inside the chart views, worklists and alerts clinicians already use. Every feature is built with the people who will rely on it and trialled in a real department before it reaches anyone else.

AI

Decision support with a clear author

Our models suggest, summarize and prioritize. Each recommendation shows the data behind it, so a clinician can check the reasoning in seconds and accept or set it aside. The decision is always theirs, and the record shows that it was.

Principles

What we hold ourselves to

We test against clinical outcomes before we test for user satisfaction, because a pleasant tool that is wrong is worse than a plain one that is right. Every suggestion carries its source. Privacy is part of how the system is built and every customer’s data stays separate. And care teams sit in our planning meetings, because they know the work better than we do.

Leadership

The people behind Meridian

A small team of clinicians and engineers who still spend time on hospital wards and in customer sites.

Daniel Reyes

Daniel Reyes

Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer

Daniel spent nine years in health system operations, most recently as director of clinical informatics at a regional hospital network. He leads Meridian’s strategy and customer partnerships, and personally joins the first week of every new deployment.

Dr. Priya Raman

Dr. Priya Raman

Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer

Priya practiced internal medicine for eleven years and still works clinical shifts each month. She chairs the clinical review board that approves every model before it reaches a care team, and leads Meridian’s validation research.

Marcus Lindqvist

Marcus Lindqvist

Head of Engineering

Marcus has spent eight years building data infrastructure for health platforms, from FHIR integrations to model serving at scale. He leads the teams responsible for Meridian’s integrations, model pipeline and security engineering.

Where we are headed

One clear picture of every patient

We are working toward a day when a care team opens a single, trustworthy view of a patient instead of searching across five systems. The software gathers, checks and flags. The clinicians weigh it and decide. If we do that well, the hours we return to them are spent where they matter most, at the bedside.
